This sculpture accurately depicts an evolutionary step towards mankind's dream of powered flight. Propulsion in one of it's earliest forms is replicated here as the first steam turbine - “The Hero” at center-stage! The evolution of its design led to bigger turbines, bigger dreams and more evolved forms of propulsion enabling manned-flight!
The Kinetic Upgrade Package presents a startling realism - "the rocket looks like it's going to launch!" The combined effect of the steam turbine ramping up to 2500 rpm and the vortex it creates with the exhaust from the thrusters is as real as it gets without liftoff.
